NLS is pleased to announce a new agreement that allows us to continue to develop and host learner courseware and provide teacher training to the IRCC-funded language training sector. The project is now entering its 11th year, and we are gratified with the continued support provided by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for learning technology integration in adult settlement language training.
A highlight of the new agreement is continued support for the ongoing development of a new national learning management system solution at avenue.ca. When released in the fall of 2020, Avenue will:
- replace EduLINC.ca and encompass important functional upgrades including an ePortfolio solution to support PBLA; a course-builder function to help teachers custom build their courses; one log in integration with the Tutela.ca learning repository.
- support online learning and blended learning, and eventually provide autonomous or semi-autonomous learning (for learners on waiting lists or in pre-arrival).
- provide an LMS solution for the Clic sector, the French counterpart of LINC.
